Fine Art Photography
Capturing the light in life's best moments.
You can say that this is a blog of my thoughts on the fine art photography through my lens.
ABOUT ME
The camera and the lens have been around me for a long time, or should I say - I have been around them for a long time. My dad being an avid photographer himself, from the day I remember the Minolta which produced sepia toned images, then with the Yashica 108 Multi Program, to my Nikon D80 to D300s, to D750, D850 and now with Z6II. Every time we had a vacation or a family meet-up, my dad used to be behind the camera, and that slowly crept onto me too. We used to eagerly wait for the pictures to come from the local lab, and till the moment we opened the cover and looked at them it was a wait worth-while. There is something satisfying about seeing your images in print from the negative. I still do enjoy the prints more than the digital images; you will also I promise !!
Not a big fan of being in front of the camera, I always wanted to be behind it. Along with a bunch of wonderful friends who shared the same passion, photography has grown more in me. It has become an obsession that has grown in me, steadily but surely. I did not have photography as a major in my college/school but when you really want to learn about something, you will learn it anyhow - especially with and IT background and everything is available in the open university (especially in this web3.0 age). That said I did go to photography school in India under K.L. Raja (Ambitions4 Photography Academy, Chennai, India) to understand the technical basics right and its intricacies. Be strong in your technical basics, that will be your best platform to build over for any industry.
While my roots are from Chennai, India - I am now working out of Orange County, California (since 2009).
